The cost depends on the type of boiler and your existing setup. Replacing a combi boiler on a like-for-like basis typically starts from around £1,800 fully fitted. If we need to relocate the boiler or change the system type, the cost will be higher. We carry out a free home survey and provide an exact, written quote before any work begins.
A straightforward boiler replacement is typically completed within a single day. If we are relocating the boiler or converting from a conventional system to a combi, the work may take two days. We will always confirm the expected timeframe upfront so you can plan accordingly.

Yes. An annual service is required by most manufacturers to keep your warranty valid. Beyond warranty compliance, a yearly service helps identify small faults before they develop into costly repairs, and includes a safety check for carbon monoxide risks. We recommend treating it in the same way as an annual MOT for your vehicle.
We remove the boiler casing and carry out a full inspection of all internal components, cleaning where necessary. We perform a flue gas analysis to confirm safe and efficient combustion, test all safety devices, check the system pressure, and inspect the controls and thermostat. A written service record is provided at the end of every visit. A service typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes.

Landlords are legally required to have a gas safety inspection carried out every 12 months by a Gas Safe registered engineer. For homeowners, an annual check is not a legal requirement but is strongly recommended. A regular inspection helps identify gas leaks, faulty flues, and carbon monoxide risks before they become hazardous.
We inspect every gas appliance in the property — including the boiler, gas fire, cooker, and any water heaters. We carry out a pressure test on the pipework, check flues and ventilation, test the gas pressure and burner operation, and verify all safety devices are functioning correctly. Your CP12 certificate is issued on the same visit.
We will explain clearly what the issue is and what your options are. Minor faults can often be resolved during the same visit. If an appliance presents an immediate safety risk, we are required to isolate it — but we will always walk you through exactly what has been found and what the next steps are.
Act promptly. Open all windows and doors to ventilate the property. Do not operate any light switches, doorbells, or electrical appliances. Do not smoke or use any open flames. If it is safe to do so, turn off the gas supply at the meter. Ensure everyone leaves the property, then call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. Once the gas supply has been made safe by the emergency service, contact us and we will carry out the repair work to restore your appliances to safe working order.
